Mail Problems

Sherwood Forest Glen

I've gotten several private emails regarding problems with mail delivery in the subdivision. If this is happening to you, please go to usps.com and register an "Offical" complaint. The more of us who do this, the better. I contacted the post master at our station two many times to count and got no results but after I emailed my complaint in, I received two phones calls and the promise that something would be done, although they said "No one else had complained." Apparently they like to have everyone unhappy before they do something instead of just one unhappy person. Anyway, go to the site and complain. I think it helped me.

Andy was kind enough to forward along this link, and I thought that I would share it. It is very interesting.

Letter from Staci Vaughan at King Proprty Management:
Dear Sherwood Homeowners:

As you know, InTown Homes has almost completed your community! The model is now sold, leaving only one home on the back street available.

In the near future we will host the First Annual Meeting of the Members. The purpose of this meeting is to elect a new homeowner Board of Directors thus terminating the development period. The meeting will be properly noticed and each owner may be added to the ballot if interested, and each lot is entitled to one vote.

Once the new Board of Directors is in place, each owner will have an opportunity to voice their concerns regarding community issues. The Board will hear from the owners present and then schedule the first Board of Directors meeting to begin work on the issues presented. Please remember – we will discuss community issues such as parking, landscaping, gates, etc. You will still need to contact InTown through their website for homeowner warranty issues.

This termination of development does not affect the completion of the community punch list. Community items in need of repair, replacement, or other attention will still be addressed by InTown. Your By-Laws state that the developer will complete items agreed to within a certain time frame.

If you have any questions about this process, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thanks,

Staci Vaughan

Source for additional Sherwin William "builder" touch up paint

FYI. . .

If you have used up your touch up paint that came with the house, you can purchase replacement paint from . . .

Sherwin Williams
13910 Westheimer Rd
Houston, TX 77077-5359
(281)493-9881
[Close to Westheimer and Highway 6; There is a Sherwin Williams closer by at Kirkwood and Memorial; however, they do not have the "builder" grade paint.]

Just bring the can with the SWB (Southwest builders) code with you. It costs about $15/gallon. Naturally, builders's grade paint is not even close to the best paint that money can buy; however, it is cheap, quick, and easy. It you bring the code number, there is no need to bring a color sample for them to match.

Personally, if I repaint in a couple of years, I may "upgrade" to a better grade of Sherwin Williams Superpaint, Sherwin Williams Cashmere, or Behr Premium.

How about that BBQ we have all been talking about?

Hi guys! We were thinking it is about time to get together for that BBQ that we have been talking about for a year! :) We were thinking of the weekend after Mother's Day. Which night is better for you guys...Saturday, May 20, or Sunday, May 21? Either way, we were thinking of getting together around 6pm. I will be sending out an Evite later, after a date has been decided.
